Colder weather doesn’t mean you’re locked inside — grab your winter jacket and some gloves and hit the slopes! Mulligan’s Hollow Ski Bowl in Grand Haven offers private skiing and snowboarding lessons Thursdays–Sundays through March. Personalized lessons allow you to grow at the speed and level you’re comfortable with. Group lessons are also offered.

The Winter Wonderland hike at Outdoor Discovery Center in Holland offers an immersive and exciting learning experience. On Dec. 18, walk with the center’s staff and learn all about the wonders of winter. You’ll hike along the trails and discuss what plants and animals do for the winter and how they survive these cold months.
