Fennel Whiskey Sour

Fox and Oden Straight Bourbon Whiskey

1 tablespoon fennel seed

¼ cup white or cane sugar

1½ cups water

3 ounces lemon juice

1 ounce orange juice

6 ounces Fox and Oden Straight Bourbon Whiskey

2 fennel fronds for garnish

Combine fennel seed, sugar and water in a small saucepan. Bring to a low boil and simmer for 10 minutes, turn off heat and allow to steep for 20 minutes. Strain off fennel seeds and pour into a small container.

Combine fennel simple syrup, lemon juice, orange juice and Fox and Oden Straight Bourbon Whiskey. Shake with ice vigorously to combine.

Strain off ice and pour over fresh ice in a rocks glass. Garnish with small fennel sprig.
