You gotta try Big Lake Brewing and Tripelroot
|What simply began as an idea in 2009 between three engineers, Big Lake Brewing has grown into an esteemed brewery among both locals and visitors to the lakeshore.
Doling out craft brews ranging from IPAs and ales to stouts and porters, Big Lake Brewing also serves up classic pub fare in its new downtown Holland location.
Owner Travis Prueter suggests the Citra Session, a year-round, lighter beer made with malted wheat and Citra hops.
“Citra Session is my go-to in the summer. It’s light, crisp and refreshing. Easy drinking on the boat, beach or wherever I find myself in the summer.”

Zeeland’s first brewpub describes itself as simple, social and sustainable.
Owners Laura and Nate Gentry said the brewery offers a comfortable, family-friendly atmosphere, handcrafted food and craft beer. Eleven of its own beers are on tap, with another 150 beer, wine and cider options.
Laura Gentry recommends Training Session IPA, named for the fat-tire bicycle riders who come to tripelroot after their Wednesday training sessions. The session IPA is brewed with Cascade and Comet hops.
