Isabel’s Market + Eatery, located at 310 Blue Star Highway in Douglas, is expected to open this spring. The specialty market and year-round event venue will have a bakery; a fresh seafood, meat and produce market; a full stand-up bar with craft beer and wine; and a highly-curated list of local products.

New location

Jean Marie’s, a women’s boutique, is opening its new downtown Holland location at 190 S. River Ave. this spring, which was formerly the gift shop Home & Company. The new location will carry its women’s clothing lines but also offer housewares and gifts.

New shop & salon

Plush Hair Salon, located at 761 E. Eighth St., and East Eighth Boutique, located just next door, opened in the Holland Heights neighborhood in November. East Eighth Boutique, run by Michelle Damian, sells trendy clothing and accessories. Plush Hair Salon, run by Damian’s daughter, Sarah DeJong, offers a variety of haircut, color and extension services.

New location

Holland Clock Co. closed in February but has plans to re-open in early May in a new location on Eighth Street. Previously located at 21 E. Eighth St. in downtown Holland, Holland Clock Co.’s relocation was due to the building owner’s development plans to renovate the building and adjacent building into apartments.
