Carrie and Chris Alderink, owners of Brew Merchant in Holland’s Washington Square, recently opened their new event venue, Merchant Hall. With a capacity of 60–180, Merchant Hall is available to host parties for any occasion. The 107-year-old building features brick walls, maple floors and a tin ceiling. Merchant Hall is adjoined to Brew Merchant.

Recently opened in downtown Holland last month, Seventy-Six features a number of hints from owner Lucas Grill’s childhood. The restaurant offers eclectic American bites and is named in honor of Grill’s parents, who married in 1976. Grill may be a familiar face for some — he is also the proprietor of Public in downtown Zeeland.
