Step outside for health, beauty & wellness
|Cycling or walking for fun, to work or shop is a time-efficient way to build regular exercise into everyday routine.
Cycling is a healthy, low-impact exercise that can be enjoyed by all ages. It is also fun, inexpensive and good for the environment.
Ottawa County Department of Public Health sponsors a free group walk program. It provides Fitbit aficionados an opportunity to measure steps while exploring different parks. Group walks are held in the morning and early evening at parks in Ottawa and Allegan counties. All are led by a naturalist.
For information about outdoor activities, trail maps and walking guides, visit the Ottawa County Parks & Recreation or the Allegan County Parks and Recreation offices or websites. For ideas to get ready to step outside, look inside the following pages of Urban St.
