I invited some friends to join my wife and I to see Overcomer at Sperry’s Moviehouse. It was the first time any of us had been to this theater. Upon entering, we were delighted to find a very clean and modern theater and we looked forward to a great experience. Before seeing the movie, the four of us had a meal at the Dinnerhouse on the second floor.

We began our meal with the build-your-own-poutine appetizer. The delicious combination of fries, cheese curds and gravy disappeared in a hurry. There also was a nice selection of wine, beer and cocktails.

Finally, it was movie time. These theaters were built for comfort — the wide, comfortable recliners had multiple massage options. Each seat also has a swivel table — you can order your burger and beer, and have it delivered right to your seat in the theater.

Our trip to Sperry’s Moviehouse was the perfect date night. “Dinner and a show” takes on a new meaning at Sperry’s. With 11 screens, there is always something good playing. I plan to return soon. I hope you take an opportunity to experience it for yourself.
